Another 'AGT' shakeup: Tyra Banks reportedly done with 'America's Got Talent'

Updated

"America's Got Talent" has to find a new host -- again.

In 2017, news of then-host Nick Cannon's departure rocked the hit NBC talent show, and according to new reports, we're about to see a repeat: Tyra Banks is done with "AGT," according to Page Six.

"Tyra’s been inundated with producing and acting requests," the outlet reports. "She wants to produce and create TV. She will not be returning to ‘AGT’ in the new year.”

Banks hosted the competition's 12th and 13th seasons after Cannon's unexpected departure. She hinted in November 2018 that it may have been a one-and-done deal from the start, telling Access Hollywood she had a "really nice run" with the show.

Her exit will mark another shakeup for "AGT," which has seen its fair share of controversy through the years.

Most recently in the headlines has been judge Mel B, who was ordered in September 2018 to undergo random drug and alcohol testing amid her custody battle with ex-husband Stephen Belafonte. She is still slated to return next season.

Cannon, for his part, said in 2017 that he quit the show after learning that NBC executives were upset that he'd disparaged the network with offensive jokes in a stand-up special.

"My soul won't allow me to be in business with corporations that attempt to frown on freedom of speech," he said at the time, adding that the decision weighed heavily on him.
