Michelle Obama surprises fans at 30 Rock building

Michelle Obama stopped by “The Tonight Show” on Tuesday to promote her new book “Becoming.” Besides opening up about her marriage and her childhood, Fallon also got the former First Lady to participate in a hilarious stunt, surprising guests at 30 Rock.

This isn’t the first time the pair had gotten silly on the show; Obama had also participated in the popular skit “Ew!” and “The Evolution of Dance.” But this time, Fallon and Obama decided simply to surprise unsuspecting fans and bring them some holiday cheer.

Tourists, who believed they were going up the elevator to start a tour at the 30 Rock building, had hilarious reactions to seeing Fallon and the former FLOTUS goofing around. Of course, they couldn't just be standing there when the elevator doors opened, so instead they pulled off a number of stunts including jumping rope, singing “Jingle Bells,” performing a magic trick and one group even witnessed Obama pop out of a giant gift box.

The responses were priceless. One woman almost passed out with excitement, while others just stood there with their mouths open, unable to process what was happening before the elevator doors slammed shut.
