Inside Prince Philip's godson's nasty divorce

Updated

Prince Philip's godson's divorce has gotten ugly.

Months after interior designer Ashley Hicks, who is also Prince Charles' second cousin, confessed to his pregnant wife, Kata de Solis, that he had cheated on her with her best friend, the couple's divorce is embroiled in a new wave of drama.

Hicks, 55, reportedly started his affair with Martina Mondadori Sartogo while they traveling on business together in Italy, a month before de Solis, 36, discovered that she was expecting the couple's second child. In August, when Hicks revealed his tryst with Sartogo, de Solis moved out and lawyered up.

"Kata never would have found out if he hadn't told her," a source told Page Six's Richard Johnson.

Now, de Solis is seven months pregnant and living in Hicks' country home because he won't set her up with an apartment in London.

"He put deadbolts on interior doors, so [she's] relegated to a small wing of the house," another insider said. "Any hopes for an amicable divorce are out the window."

Though Sartogo's lawyer threatened to sue de Solis if she didn't delete e-mails that she obtained from Hicks' account that proved the affair, de Solis' lawyer shot back that they were available in plain sight on the family computer.

"Your client has been having an affair with our client's husband during the time that our client was pregnant with her second child," de Solis' lawyer wrote back. "That is not a private matter."

Perhaps adding insult to injury, Hicks and Sartogo are no longer seeing one another.
