Duchess Meghan 'frustrated' with royal rumors about her as palace denies feud with Kate

Duchess Meghan is reportedly "frustrated" with all the rumors surrounding her right now.

As speculation mounts that she's feuding with sister-in-law, Duchess Kate, and that she's a "Difficult Duchess," as British press has labeled her, sources told Us Weekly that the former "Suits" actress is finding it "stressful" not being able to speak out and deny all of the rumors herself.

"It’s just been frustrating and stressful to have no voice," a royal insider said. "She’s always relied on her own voice to stand up for others, and for herself. So not being able to say anything is a debilitating feeling. She’s always been so independent, her entire life, and that’s all been taken away from her."

"She’s always been able to clap back on social media and now she can’t," the source added of Markle, who shut down her blog and deleted her social media accounts before marrying Prince Harry earlier this year.

Harry "feels powerless," too, as the media scrutiny has affected their relationship.

"It has put pressure on her relationship with Harry," another source told Us. "He’s very frustrated with how little can be done. Keeping her away from the negativity and harm has been hard for him. It’s been his purpose in their relationship to keep her away from the negativity."

In addition to reports of brewing drama behind the scenes between Kate and Meghan, false claims were made about the reason that Meghan's private secretary, Samantha Cohen, will be leaving her position in the spring. Reports claimed that Cohen, who is the second aide Meghan is losing, was stepping down from her role because the Duchess of Sussex is too "difficult," though sources contend that she was initially hired to work for Meghan until she gives birth to her first child.

That being said, there does seem to be underlying tension between Meghan, Harry, Kate and William as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex prepare to move out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Castle. The move signifies a literal separation between the four next-generation royals, despite Meghan and Harry having the option to move into a bigger residence at Kensington Palace alongside Kate, Will and their kids.

The speculation hit fever pitch last week after The Sun published a story claiming that Kate "slapped down" Meghan (with her words) after the new duchess "b---hed Kate's staff." The outlandish report prompted Buckingham Palace to release a very rare statement about gossip, saying simply, "This never happened."

To make matters even worse, Meghan's estranged family is -- predictably -- weighing in on her latest set of controversies. Thomas Markle, the Duchess of Sussex's father, said over the weekend that Meghan is "demanding but never rude," and that she "won't speak" to him, despite him reaching out to her and her mother, Doria Ragland.

Another day, another drama.
