Miley Cyrus advocates for gun safety with message on t-shirt: Pic
Miley Cyrus is making a statement.
The singer is back in the spotlight on the heels of the release of "Nothing Breaks Like A Heart," her new single with Mark Ronson released earlier this month, and she's using her renewed exposure to continue to advocate for gun safety.
Cyrus stepped out for press in New York City on Monday rocking a '90s-inspired ensemble straight out of "Clueless": Baggy plaid pants with a matching blazer, an oversized fuzzy orange hat and a simple white t-shirt with the words "PROTECT KIDS NOT GUNS" written in black ink.

Cyrus has long been outspoken against gun violence, and she made a high-profile appearance at the March for Our Lives rally in Washington, D.C., back in March, where she sang her hit "The Climb."
"Thank you for being here. I love you all so much. Never again!" she said at the march, organized by students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. "You guys are so incredible and I just find myself lucky to be in the presence of all of you wonderful people, fighting for what is right."
Cyrus' political fashion statement follows a slew of chic ensembles that she's donned while promoting her new single alongside Ronson. Last week and through the weekend, before getting to New York, Cyrus stepped out for a variety of promotional appearances in London.
