Princess Charlotte surprised pub patrons by making a pit stop to the bathroom

Regulars at a local pub in London got a royal surprise when Kate Middleton and her daughter, Princess Charlotte, walked in to use the bathroom.

Folks sitting at The Phoenix were stunned to see the the little three-year-old and the Duchess of Cambridge enter.

The Daily Mail says that before the two entered, a plain-clothed detective from the Royal Protection Squad went in to check out the bathroom.

"They seem very nice, totally normal," pub regular Maggie McKinney told MailOnline. "Princess Kate was holding her daughter's hand. Princess Charlotte was just any other little girl.”

And another said that no one really knew what was going on until they saw Kate.

The little princess’s trip to the pub was much more innocent than her grandfather's from back when he was young.

The Daily Mail says that a 14-year-old Prince Charles was caught drinking brandy at a pub in 1963 after he gave his security detail the slip during a school trip!
