Penélope Cruz, Margot Robbie attend Chanel's Metiers d'Art show- while Pharrell hits the runway

Karl Lagerfeld took over the Metropolitan Museum of Art for his 2018/19 Metiers d'Art show on Tuesday.

Bringing a contemporary approach to ancient Egypt, Chanel's latest collection was clearly inspired by the country paved in gold. The front row at the Met housed a slew of Chanel muses: Penélope Cruz, Margot Robbie, Julianne Moore, and Blake Lively all looked chicer than ever decked in the French fashion house.

Diane Kruger stunned in a black sheer gown, which featured beautiful beading and a high-boat neckline, while Janelle Monaé stuck to her signature black and white ensemble in a beaded stripe gown topped off with Parisian barret.

The collection included full-cut bouclé jackets and gold leather came in the form of hats, pants and knee-high boots. Kaia Gerber walked the runway in an oversized denim-on-denim look with slicked-back hair while, Chanel ambassador and music mogul, Pharell, dubbed as a high-fashion pharaoh for the catwalk.

This marks only the third time that the French fashion house has shown in New York -- once in 2005 and a second time in 2006 at Grand Central Station.

Jerry Seinfeld and wife Jessica also attended the show. Check them out in the gallery above!
