Prince Charles to attend George H.W. Bush's funeral

Prince Charles will be at George H.W. Bush's funeral.

Clarence House announced on Tuesday that the heir to the British throne will travel to Washington D.C. with wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, for the late 41st United States president's funeral service, which is set for Wednesday.

"The Prince of Wales will attend the state funeral of former U.S. President George H.W. Bush," the tweet announcement read. "The service will take place tomorrow at The National Cathedral in Washington."

"The Prince will be representing Her Majesty The Queen," it added.

The announcement comes three days after Queen Elizabeth released a statement in response to the former president's passing at the age of 94 on Friday, November 30, 2018.
