'Dog the Bounty Hunter' star Beth Chapman hospitalized: It's 'life or death'

Updated

Beth Chapman is in a "life or death situation" right now.

The "Dog the Bounty Hunter" is reportedly undergoing emergency surgery on Tuesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after developing a "life-threatening blockage" in her throat overnight.

The Blast reports that Chapman has been in Los Angeles seeing a specialist for weeks because she "felt sick." The reality star and her husband had been photographed leaving dinner at Craig's in West Hollywood on Monday evening.

Dog is reportedly at Chapman's side in the hospital, and the rest of her family is expected to fly in from Hawaii later on Tuesday.

"She's at Cedars-Sinai right now," Dog's son, Duana Lee, told Page Six through tears. "It's life-threatening."

The devastating health update comes a year after Chapman had a cancerous growth removed from her neck before being declared cancer-free by her doctors.

More to come.
