Emma Stone, Beyonce and more unexpected stars whose careers first began on reality TV

Reality TV can launch nobodies into superstardom -- just look at the Kardashians, Carrie Underwood or Chip and Jo Gaines.

But for a number of famous faces, appearing on reality TV was an awkward stepping stone on the route of becoming global celebrities. Before they became household names, some of the biggest names in music and movies tried their hand at the reality TV game.

Emma Stone's not-so-big break came via a reality show titled "In Search of the Next Partridge Family." She was 16 years old when she sang her heart out on the VH1 competition.

Beyonce and Kesha also landed on the list. Watch in the video above.
