Troubling rumors continue to swirl about Hayden Panettiere after bloody incident between boyfriend, father

As speculation continues to grow about the well-being of Hayden Panettiere, her friends and family are taking to the press to express their troubling concerns.

Us Weekly reports that Panettiere's friends are "worried" about her relationship with beau Brian Hickerson: It is "not a healthy situation," one source told the outlet.

The story comes one week after news that in October, South Carolina police were called to handle a bloody altercation between the "Nashville" star, her boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his father.

Police at the scene wrote that upon their arrival, Panettiere, 29, opened the door in a frantic state and Hickerson's father was physically injured. She "admitted to have been drinking alcohol" leading up to the incident, according to TMZ.

Hickerson's father reportedly told authorities that "no assault had taken place" and the argument stemmed from "drinking too much."

The dramatic incident aligned with October 19 story from Hollywood Gossip that claimed Panettiere's friends think the star is "drinking herself to death."

Family and friends have repeatedly said their piece about Hickerson, a Carolina native who tabloids claim is in upwards of $13,000 of credit card debt. When the romance first began in August, Panettiere's mother, Lesley Vogel, told Radar, "I don’t trust his intentions. People can use her."

As for fans, Hickerson first raised eyebrows when he showed off a new basketball hoop: “When my girlfriend is sleeping, I hijack the credit card and buy cool s--t like that,” he says in the clip. (A source close to him has claimed he was joking.)

Panettiere's ex, heavyweight boxing champ Wladimir Klitschko, has custody of their young daughter and is reportedly raising her in Ukraine.
