‘The Voice’ star Beverly McClellan dies after long battle with cancer

The Voice lost a shining light this Thursday, RadarOnline.com has learned, as beloved former contestant Beverly McClellan died following her long battle with cancer.

As fans know, McClellan, 49, was the third runner-up on the the music show’s very first season. She was on Christina Aguilera’s team and was highly praised for her mesmerizing talent.

In her audition, she famously stunned the audience with her rendition of “Piece of My Heart.”

McClellan had been battling stage 3 endometrial cancer for about a year, but was recently sent to a California hospital to receive treatment after her health took a turn for the worse.
