Tamron Hall, who left 'Today' in 2017 after Megyn Kelly fallout, reunites with Al Roker amid latest controversy

Few co-star dynamics are quite as complicated as those on NBC's "Today" show.

A year and a half after Megyn Kelly's arrival prompted Tamron Hall to ditch her anchor spot on "Today," Hall publicly reunited with her former co-host, Al Roker -- who earlier this week made headlines for criticizing his current co-star Kelly.

For those who need a refresher, Hall walked away from a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract in early 2017 after learning NBC planned to offer Kelly the show's 9 AM slot. It was just the beginning of what's since become a slew of controversies dogging Kelly since she joined the network.

But all that drama was far from Hall and Roker's minds Thursday night as the two grinned together on set of "Waitress," the Broadway musical in which Roker currently appears.

"Smiling ear to ear tonight after seeing Al Roker light up the stage in 'Waitress!" Hall wrote on Instagram. "What a show and yes Mr. Roker sings!!!!! True icon. Blessed to know you sir."

Hall and Roker co-hosted "Today's Take" until Hall's exit. Roker remains with NBC as an occasional co-anchor on "Nightly News" and the daily weather anchor on "Today."

While it's great to see the two together again, don't get too attached: Hall is developing a daytime talk show over at ABC.
