Amy Schumer is pregnant, announces news while encouraging fans to vote in midterm elections: All the details!

Updated

Congratulations are in order for Amy Schumer -- but she's not letting her big news overshadow another important event! The actress-comedian bundled together a pregnancy announcement on Monday with a push to get out the vote for the upcoming midterm elections.

"About to announce some exciting news," Schumer posted on Monday alongside a digitally-altered picture of her head pasted on Meghan Markle's body. (Fellow newlywed Markle is, of course, expecting her first child with Prince Harry!)

Schumer then directed fans over to News Not Noise's Jessica Yellin, CNN's former Chief White House Correspondent: "I'm not in the business of making voting recommendations, but these are the recommendations of Amy Schumer, one of the most consistent and early supporters of News Not Noise," Yellin said on Instagram. "Read all the way to the bottom -- you'll see there's some news down there."

Underneath a list of candidate selections reads a concise announcement: "I'm pregnant - Amy Schumer."

This will be the first child for Schumer, 37, and husband Chris Fischer, who wed this February in an intimate surprise ceremony.

Congratulations to the happy couple, and for the rest of us, heed Schumer's request -- don't forget to vote!
