White-hot! Kim Kardashian drips in diamonds, hires extra security for Tiffany's event

Kim Kardashian stepped out in New York City on Tuesday night for the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Gala, and she was white-hot in a stunning backless Rick Owens gown with a plunging neckline and cutouts on her sides that showed off her chiseled abs.

The KKW Beauty founder was given a slew of diamonds from Tiffany to wear for the night, which included a 26-carat diamond choker from the 2018 Blue Book Collection, as well as seven diamond rings. Kim showed off the jewels on her Instagram Story on the way to the star-studded event.

Before fans could even get a chance to express concern that the jewels could make her a target for theft, Kardashian revealed that she had hired extra security for the evening -- and that the diamonds weren't going home with her!

"Look at these jewels I get to borrow for the night," she playfully bragged. "Guys, I have full security with me and they leave me right after the night. So, I turn into Cinderella."

The reality star was alluding to the Paris robbery that left her bound and held at gunpoint two years ago after she had showed off her million-dollar ring on social media that prompted a group of criminals to target her in her rented apartment.

Also at the Tiffany & Co. event were Mary J. Blige, Priyanka Chopra and Kim's mother, Kris Jenner, among others.
