Visiting their namesake county!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who were given the official titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by Queen Elizabeth on their wedding day, stepped out in Sussex on Wednesday -- their first joint visit to the region 50 miles south of London.

The couple was all smiles as they made their way through adoring crowds of people lining the streets, and they shared some hilarious interactions with members of the public.

While greeting a group of students from Westbourne House School, they were gifted an A-Z guide fo Sussex made by the children, which Markle called "very cool," People reports, before adding that "it will be helpful when we next come."

Harry informed the kids that "education is very important" when he found out that they were missing a Latin test to greet them. He gave them all high gives as he made his way down the line, and their teacher, Charlotte Sleep, hilariously refused to let go of Harry's hand after shaking it.

"I am not letting go of your hand," she proclaimed.

"Please do," he responded.

For the joyous outing, Markle opted for a cream cashmere Giorgio Armani coat, a green silk shirt from & Other Stories, a leather green pencil skirt from Hugo Boss and beige Stuart Weitzman heels. Her matching green bag was the Nina bag from Gabriela Hearst. She accessorized the rest of her look with jewelry from the London-based brand, Missoma.

Harry opted for a gray-blue suit over a white button-down shirt that he wore without a tie.

The couple is expected to make a variety of stops during their visit to Sussex, including seeing a rare copy of the Declaration of Independence, visiting the Royal Pavilion in East Sussex and visit Survivors' Network.
