The "Sex and the City" actress made a rare outing alongside hubby, Matthew Broderick at the New York City Ballet's Fall Fashion Gala, on Thursday night, and gave us the Carrie Bradshaw moment we've all dreamed of.

Photographed leaving her West Village apartment making her way to the Gala, she wore a voluminous Giles Couture gown. The captivating red ball gown featured structured shoulders with sheer black long sleeves that were finished with red cuffs. The actress turned designer completed the look with a casual ponytail and shoes from her SJP collection, while Broderick kept it clean in a black tux and bowtie.

The A-list couple walked the red carpet looking more in love than ever and mingled with Andy Cohen, Kelly Ripa and Marie Claire's Zanna Roberts Rassi along the way. But one notable attendee had "SATC" fans losing it.

The real-life Aleksandr Petrovsky also walked the carpet with his wife. Actor Mikhail Baryshnikov played SJP's longtime love interest on the show, where the two moved to Paris in the finale, only for Carrie to be saved by none other than...Mister Big, of course.
