Hyland, 27, is just the latest Hollywood celebrity to come forward with their own story of sexual assault, in support of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who was grilled by Senators over accusations she was sexually assaulted by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh at a high school party in suburban Maryland in the early ‘80s.
Earlier Thursday, Cougar Town star Busy Philipps. revealed she was raped at age 14, sharing her thoughts on Instagram, along with a yearbook photo of herself at that age.
#tbt This is me at 14. The age I was raped. It's taken me 25 years to say those words. I wrote about it in my book. I finally told my parents and sister about it 4 months ago. Today is the day we are silent no more. All of us. I'm scared to post this. I can't imagine what Dr. Ford is feeling right now.
