Alicia Silverstone might ask an unlikely man to help her get pregnant again

Alicia Silverstonewants to give her 7-year-old son Bear a sibling. And the Clueless actress revealed she is considering asking ex-husband, Christopher Jarecki, to help her become pregnant.

“I have always dreamed of having a little girl, but of course I want another little Bear too,” Silverstone told Working Mothermagazine’s October/November issue. “So whatever happens, if it happens, is good by me. I’m not in a relationship, but there are other ways to make babies.” (The writer of the piece noted, “Not off the table: asking Bear’s dad for an assist.”)

The Kind Mama author and rocker Jarecki, both 41, called it quits in February after 12 years of marriage.

Silverstone knew from the start that she didn’t want back-to-back babies. “I’ve always wanted another kid. But I also wanted to space them out because I love being with Bear,” she explained to Working Mother. “They’re too delicious to have another one come along.” But now that Bear is 7, the star finds herself yearning to hold a newborn in her arms.

“He is now fiercely independent. And that’s another reason I want to have a baby,” she said. “Bear doesn’t need me! I mean, of course he needs me, but he’s so free. He’s always talking to people, asking if he could help them. He buses tables at restaurants. He hands things out and takes the trash back on airplanes,” she gushed.

While the animal rights activist is unattached, Bear knows his mom might have a new man in her life one day.

“He doesn’t have any idea that I’ve ever been on a date. I have talked to him about how one day Mommy and Daddy might want to find another person to be with,” Silverstone explained to the magazine. . “That was hard. We had a really deep conversation about it, where I was preparing him in case I did find a boyfriend. But I just wanted to check in on him to see how he was doing. I would say, ‘Mommy and Daddy like to live separately.’”

But for now, Bear has her full attention.
