2018 Emmys: Watch the opening number with Kate McKinnon, Sterling K. Brown, RuPaul and more stars

Hollywood is certainly making efforts to rectify its diversity issue, and according to Kenan Thompson and Kate McKinnon -- mission accomplished.

The two kicked off the 2018 Emmy Awards with a dance-and-song number in which they congratulated the industry for all its progress: "We solved it!" they proclaimed alongside famous faces included Kristen Bell, Titus Burgess, RuPaul.

Thompson offered congratulations to Sandra Oh, the first Asian woman to ever be nominated for Lead Actress in a Drama Series: "There were none, now there's one!" he announced.
