2018 Emmys: Our least favorite looks of the night

Some of the night's biggest winners onstage didn't fare quite so well on the red carpet.

We rounded up our least favorite looks of the 2018 Emmy Awards, and two stars who took home major awards landed on our list: Claire Foy, whose ivory dress just didn't have that "wow" factor, and Darren Criss, whose black suit featured a jagged pattern that left us puzzled.

Allison Janney, Emilia Clarke and a few other famous faces also didn't manage to impress -- but we still adore you all!

From sequins to sheer bodices, take a look at our least favorite looks of the 2018 Emmys in the gallery below.

A wrap dress is always flattering, and we love Samantha Bee! But a color this regal deserves serious drama, and the look top-to-bottom just didn't quite add up.
He took home one of the biggest awards of the night, but Darren Criss wasn't winning any style points in this patterned black-on-black look.
Allison Janney looks amazing as a blonde -- and her figure, whew! -- but the allover purple sequins felt a bit Vegas for the Emmys.

Maya Rudolph is never one to shy away from an unexpected silhouette, so we know this was a very intentional choice -- but just can't get on board with the '80s puff sleeves.

Rhea Seehorn's gown was perfectly fine, but the half-done hairstyle just left us confused.
Her figure is incredible, but Madeline Brewer's long-sleeved black gown felt heavy for mid-September. Summer's not quite over!
Claire Foy won big, taking home the coveted statue for Outstanding Actress - Drama, but there was nothing particularly dramatic about her ivory ankle-length sheath.
We love the shape of Emilia Clarke's multi-textured gown, but the combination of sheer and florals left us feeling a little dizzy.
We adore Yara Shahidi -- who doesn't?! We just have such high fashion expectations for her, and this gathered pink number wasn't one of her better choices.
