Duchess Meghan has 'lost touch with some of her close friends' since becoming a royal: report

Meghan Markle is reportedly continue to struggle with adjusting to life as a royal.

Nearly five months after marrying Prince Harry in a royal wedding watched by hundreds of millions of people, Duchess Meghan's inner circle is shrinking as her family drama continues to impact her.

A source close to the former "Suits" actress alleged to People that she "has lost touch with some of her close friends from before the wedding, which has been tough."

On the heels of her low-key trip back to her former home of Toronto to visit her friend Jessica Mulroney, Markle is reportedly "finding it hard to know who to trust," which accounts for her smaller circle of friends.

The revelation about Meghan's inner life follows a summer full of her family members doing paid interviews about the newest royal. Her father, Thomas, as well as her half-siblings, Samantha and Thomas Jr., have done countless sit-downs about the Duchess of Sussex, where they've called her out for abandoning them and changing since becoming a royal.

"It was very wearing on her," a source said of her family's media onslaught. "It's her private life."

Though she is apparently struggling behind-the-scenes, Markle has maintained some of her most loyal friends through all of the drama, including "Quantico" actress Priyanka Chopra, who attended the royal wedding and recently got engaged herself, to Nick Jonas. Chopra and Jonas reportedly paid Harry and Meghan a visit at their country home back in July.
