Harper's Bazaar ICONS 2018: Red carpet arrivals

Before stilettos went flying at Harper's Bazaar ICONS 2018 party, they were strutting the red carpet.

By the time Cardi B and Nicki Minaj were carted out of the Plaza Hotel, they were looking disheveled (and Cardi was missing a shoe). But just minutes before, the ladies had posed glamorously on the carpet, Cardi in tumbling red ruffles and Nicki in cleavage-baring tiger print.

But while their drama is dominating the headlines, it was actually the ladies over 60 who really rocked the red carpet. Susan Lucci showed off her unbelievable physique in skintight black leather while Christie Brinkley looked fabulous as ever in a super-short sequined mini and white go-go boots.

Paris Hilton took some cues from Avril Lavigne in an unexpectedly punk-inspired look, which saw the heiress sporting black and platinum hair extensions. Looking a bit more traditional was sister Nicky Hilton, whose laser-cut number featured an oversize black satin bow.

Meanwhile, Christina Aguilera was every bit the diva in all-over white feathers. Even at three times her normal size -- those feathers were voluminous! -- the packed ballroom quickly cleared a path for her as she strutted her way upstairs for a private performance.

After posing for the cameras, the celebs enjoyed chalices of Stella Artois in the Plaza's Grand Ballroom. They were also treated to a specialty cocktail created just for Bazaar Icons called the "Stella Artois Cidre ICONic Tonic," which combines gin, tonic water, pineapple juice and Stella Cidre. (Yes, please.)
