Remembering Donald Trump’s cringe-worthy 1994 interview with Robin Leach

Robin Leach may be gone, but President Trump’s cringe-worthy 1994 interview with the British entertainment journalist lives on.

The video — which shows The Donald referencing his one-year-old daughter Tiffany’s breasts while appearing with then-wife Marla Maples — came back to haunt him in April of 2016 when he was the Republican presidential frontrunner.

“The Daily Show” featured the old episodes of Leach’s "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” reminded viewers of Trump’s creepy comments.

In the clip, Leach is heard asking Trump what features Tiffany has from each of her parents. His shocking response seemed to sexualize his infant daughter.

"Well, I think that she's got a lot of Marla," Trump said."She's a really beautiful baby, and she's got Marla's legs.”

Then, gesturing to his chest, he said, “We don't know whether she's got this part yet, but time will tell."

Leach defended his interview subject against critics when the video resurfaced in 2016. "I think it’s an overreaction to be really honest, and I think that it’s just the piling on of those that dislike Donald,” Leach told Inside Edition. “You’ve triggered a thought that I should send him a note saying, ‘Sorry I asked the question 22 years ago. How ridiculous they dig it up now.’”

Trump’s interview on "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” was far from the only time he was linked to Leach, who died Thursday at age 76.

His extravagant, showy lifestyle was also featured on Leach’s ABC show “Fame, Fortune and Romance,” which did a segment on Mar-A-Lago, Trump’s resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
