Slim and trim. Kim Kardashian revealed in a new interview that she’s down several pounds on the scale.
“I’ve lost 20 lbs and I’m really proud of that. I was almost 140 forever and now I’m, like, 116 and it just feels good,” the 37-year-old told E! News in an interview on Wednesday, August 22. “I didn’t see results right away, but when you stick with something and you’re consistent, you will. So I love it.”
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shared her slimdown secret with viewers. “I work out about an hour-and-a-half every single day, heavy weights. I don’t do a lot of cardio,” she said. “But honestly, like even my mom [Kris Jenner] pulled me aside maybe a week ago and pulls me in a closet and is like, ‘What are you doing?’ She says, ‘I don’t care what, I just need to know.’ I’ve been working out really hardcore with a bodybuilder for one year. September is our one-year anniversary.” Melissa Alcantara is the trainer responsible for her new bod.
Diet was also a factor in Kardashian’s weight loss. “I’ve kind of been trained to just eat a lot healthier than I used to. I used to just eat anything and everything and I loved it,” she explained. “And so I really do control that now. … I don’t want to ruin it by just stuffing my face.”
The reality star admitted that while she has cut back on sugar, she can’t give up her favorite sweet treat. “I love Häagen-Dazs ice cream,” she revealed. “That’s, like, my one go-to. I love dulce de leche, chocolate chip cookie dough and cookies ‘n’ cream.”
Kardashian received backlash in July after bragging about her skinny figure. When sister Kendall Jenner told the KKW Beauty founder in an Instagram Story video, “I’m really concerned. I don’t think you’re eating,” Kim responded, “What? Oh, my God, thank you.” She also shared with Khloé Kardashian at the time that she was “down to 119 lbs.”
