Charlotte Rae's famous former co-stars are taking to social media to react to her death at the age of 92.

The Emmy-nominated actress was best known for her role as Mrs. Garrett on "The Facts of Life," who originally appeared on a season "Diff'rent Strokes." The former show ran for nearly 10 years in the 1980s, and Rae famously shared her own personal troubles with the show's writers in order to make the show more realistic.

After news of her death was announced on Sunday, Rae's former co-stars on the two hit sitcoms paid tribute to the beloved actress.

"It’s with a heavy heart & lots of tears (but a smile as I think of her) that I now move through the world without this incredible force of a woman being in it," Mindy Cohn, who played Natalie Green on "Facts," wrote on Instagram. "She was my champion, a teacher, a proud example of the tenacity and perseverance needed to live an actor’s life. I love you Char."
