Kanye West's dad diagnosed with prostate cancer: Report

Kanye West has maintained a close relationship with his father throughout his life, even though Ray West divorced Kanye's mother, Donda, when Yeezy was just a young child. On Sunday, TMZreported that Ray West had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, refuting previous reports that Mr. West was battling stomach cancer.

The report goes on to state that Kanye has remained by his father's side throughout his fight. Ray is being treated for the curable disease at a nearby Los Angeles hospital and looks to be responding well to the treatment he's already received. The 41-year-old lost his mother due to post-surgery complications back in 2007.

Just last week (July 22), Kanye had to check himself into the West Hills Hospital in San Fernando Valley, California, for flu-like symptoms after attending Pusha T's wedding the night before.
