Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are apparently engaged, and fans are NOT happy

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are apparently the latest young Hollywood couple to rush to the altar, according to People, which reported Friday that the couple of 2 months is already making it official.

If the outlet's source is to be believed, the two got engaged a week ago (!) on her 36th birthday. Jonas is 25.

Jonas reportedly "closed down a Tiffany store in New York City to buy an engagement ring."

Fans haven't exactly reacted to the news with overwhelming glee.

The two began dating in May and have since gotten to know each other's families: Jonas even traveled to India to meet Chopra's mother.

“It’s a huge deal that Nick brought Priyanka to his cousin’s wedding,” a Jonas source told People. “He’s dated a lot over the last couple years but it’s never been anything serious, so this is a big step. Nick and Priyanka really like each other, and his family enjoyed getting to know her as well. She fit right in!”

The apparent development marks the third rapid-fire celebrity engagement of the summer, following Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson as well as Hailey Baldwin with Justin Bieber.

Jonas' older brother, Joe Jonas, is also engaged. He's preparing to tie the knot with "Game of Thrones" actress Sophie Turner. (But they'd been dating for more than a few months before he popped the question. Just saying.)
