Jesse Camp, former MTV VJ, reported missing in Riverside

Jesse Camp, a one-time video jockey for MTV’s “Total Request Live,” has been reported missing in Riverside, California.

Camp’s sister, Marisha, reported to Riverside police on July 19 that she had last seen her brother in California, and announced his disappearance in an Instagram story on Monday.

“Jesse was last seen in California last week, but has not reached out to us yet,” she wrote. “What he needs more than anything is kindness and love… Please keep him in your prayers. If you see him, please let him know that many, many people care… (He does not need to be the subject of tabloid journalism, making everything worse.)”

That post followed one from last week in which she called on her followers to ask him to contact family if he were to be found. She acknowledged the outpouring of concern, writing, “I can’t begin to thank everyone who reached out to express their concern and support after my brother Jesse went MIA,” she wrote. “He truly has the most beautiful friends from all walks of life, and he is SO LOVED.”

Camp was featured on the music-request show in 1998 after winning a one-year contract through the “Wanna Be a VJ” contest that year.
