Whoopi Goldberg on Jeanine Pirro clash: ‘She left a lot of pertinent stuff out’ (Video)

Whoopi Goldberg is responding to Judge Jeanine Pirro’s accusations that “The View” host told her to “get the f— out” when she was a guest on the show.

Goldberg said that Pirro “left a lot of pertinent stuff out” in her version of the story she told on Fox News. Goldberg also said she had “choice words” for the judge after Pirro called “The View” hosts “a name I cannot repeat on TV.”

“Unless you were under a rock yesterday, you know all about Jeanine Pirro’s appearance here on the show,” Goldberg said on Friday’s taping of “The View.” “Now, things got hot on the air, which you expect, that happens a lot, but I want to clear up what happened afterwards, because she talked about it on Fox News last night and Fox and Friends this morning, or on The Five or whatever it is, but she seemed to leave out some key points. Because — well, she left a lot of pertinent stuff out.”

Goldberg said that there were a lot of people backstage who could have witnessed the exchange and that she wanted to “be very clear about what happened.”

“So, there’s a lot of spinning she’s doing and I can’t do anything about that, but I can tell you what went on,” she continued.

Goldberg explained that Pirro was “upset” when she arrived because Anna Navarro was on the set instead of Joy Behar. When the segment ended — on time, Goldberg pointed out — “she then called everybody at the table a name I cannot repeat on TV and said it in front of the audience.”

“When I came off stage, I went off there cause I was a little hot, okay? So I went to calm down,” Goldberg went on, saying that when Pirro came off stage she stopped in front of her “and put a finger in my face and yelled ‘I’ve done more for victims than you ever will.'”

Goldberg said that she responded with “some few choice words I cannot repeat. Yes, I did say it, I did say it, but I did not spit on her, I did not intimidate her, no one chased her out of here saying ‘get out,’ but she did leave here cursing at the people who book the show, she cursed at the guys who do the security for the show.”

The “Justice With Judge Jeanine” host was on the ABC daytime talk show to promote her upcoming book “Liars, Leakers and Liberals,” but the segment quickly went off the rails when the two women got into a shouting match over Pirro’s support for Donald Trump and the White House’s immigration policies.

“I’m tired of people starting a conversation with, ‘Mexicans are liars and rapists,'” Goldberg said during the on-air disagreement. “I’m 62 years old. There have been a lot of people in office that I didn’t agree with. But I have never, ever seen anything like this. I have never seen anybody whip up such hate. I have never seen anybody be so dismissive.”

Pirro pushed back in defense of the Trump administration’s stance on immigration by arguing that “people who shouldn’t be here end up murdering the children of American citizens,” prompting Goldberg to shout, “Say goodbye, bye! I’m done.”

Pirro said Goldberg “came at me as I was leaving and she said ‘F you’ in my face – literally spitting at me, ‘F you, get the F out of this building,'” Pirro said. “And I said to her, ‘Did you just say that?’ She said, ‘That’s what I said. Get the F out of this building.’ She was screaming at me, and I’m walking out of the building like a dog who was just kicked off.”

On Friday, Goldberg added that the show “has always had people on with different views, like Newt Gingrich, Corey Lewandowski, Charlotte Pensch, Sarah Sanders,” and more.

“We treat everybody with respect,” Goldberg said. “But you cannot come and call people names.”
