Chance the Rapper gets engaged to girlfriend Kirsten Corley

Red, white, blue and a diamond ring.

Chance the Rapper announced Wednesday that girlfriend Kirsten Corley said yes to his proposal.

“Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?” he asked on bended knee at what appeared to be an Independence Day celebration in a video posted on Instagram.

He later followed up on Twitter: “She said yes.”

The couple, who began dating in 2013, welcomed daughter Kensli in September 2015.

“I love this time in my life, and I've learned to love better because of it,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “I wanted make a grandiose and poetic statement with her weight and size and DOB to show how much this means to me, but I think it'd be more appropriate and fatherly of me to just say thanks to those who helped us during this pregnancy.”

Months later, Conley filed legal papers to request that she be named the baby’s sole caretaker and to ask for child support, then went back and forth for more than a year about whether the two lived together.
