Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin's rekindled romance hit a bit of a snag on Monday when the couple's car abruptly stalled out in the middle of the road in the Hamptons, leaving them stranded and calling for help.

Witnesses shared exclusively with AOL that they saw the couple standing in the middle of Old Stone Highway near Amagansett, New York, looking distressed next to a silver Mercedes SLS AMG with its doors swung wide open.

"Bieber and Baldwin were stopped in the middle of the street," a source told AOL, adding that they were "approximately 1000 yards from [Hailey's] uncle Alec Baldwin's home."

Baldwin was reportedly "trying to direct traffic after Bieber stalled out in a borrowed Mercedes," the witness went on, adding that they were "incredibly calm and unfazed by the event as they waited for the local garage to pick up the car."

Photos shared exclusively with AOL show Baldwin wearing jean shorts, a white crop top and white sneakers with her hair in a bun, while Bieber rocked a white tank top, striped shorts and what appeared to be white hotel slippers. They can be seen talking with a passerby who stopped to assist them and called a tow truck on their behalf.

The couple's car troubles came days after Bieber and Baldwin were once again photographed packing on the PDA in New York City. On Saturday, the pair enjoyed lunch at Dumbo House in Brooklyn before taking a stroll through a nearby garden, where paparazzi caught them sharing a passionate kiss in public.

The make-out session came one week after they showed major PDA at Domino Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and several weeks after a high-profile trip to Miami. Sources told ET Online that the couple has been "casually dating" since May and have re-bonded over their Christian faith.

"Justin and Hailey have always been into one another," the source told ET. "They dated in 2016 briefly, and the feelings never really went away."

"[They] have a lot in common and connect deeply over their faith and relationship with God," the source added. "Things seem to be heating up as the two are spending more and more time together."

Both stars frequently attend services at Hillsong churches, which Selena Gomez and Kourtney Kardashian are also fans of.
