John Stamos shares first photo of son Billy’s face on Father’s Day

There he is! John Stamos shared an adorable photo of his son Billy in honor of Father’s Day on Sunday, June 17, which showed off his newborn’s face for the very first time.

“My first Father’s Day means that I don’t have to hand a kid back to the parents when someone yells cut. It means when people ask me if I’m a father, I don’t have to use the goofy line, ‘No, but I play one on TV,’” Stamos captioned the Instagram pic. “My first Father’s Day means that from this day forward— I will start to look my age (and older).”

He continued: “Most importantly, it means that for the rest of my life, I’ll always be known as someone’s dad. And that’s all I ever wanted. Happy Father’s day.”

The actor’s Fuller House costar and TV wife Lori Loughlin wrote in the comments, “You were meant to play this role!!! Congrats my friend and Happy Father’s Day.”

Stamos, 54, and his wife, Caitlin McHugh, welcomed their first child together in April. “From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son,” the Full House alum wrote at the time. “Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father).”

Days later, Stamos gushed to Us Weekly that he “just cried” when his son made his debut into the world. “It’s more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and I dreamt of this for a long time,” he told Us at the WE Day event in L.A. on April 19. “I’ve had Peter Pan syndrome and it’s time to let that go. Somebody ran up to me and was like, ‘You’re finally gonna look old now that you have a kid.’ I’ll take it!”

The couple, who began dating in 2016, tied the knot at his Beverly Hills home in February.
