Tina Knowles says she 'had the best time' in Paris with Blue Ivy

Keeping grandma on her toes! Tina Knowles dished on her recent trip to Paris with granddaughter Blue Ivy Carterduring an interview with Us Weekly and opened up about Blue’s trick to get a treat each day.

“We had the best time,” the 64-year-old businesswoman told Us on Saturday, June 2, at the Ladylike luncheon in Beverly Hills. “We did something every day. We went to Disneyland in Paris, we went shopping every day at Galeries Lafayette. She loves that store.”

She noted that the duo “went to the Eiffel Tower every day,” but “not the top.”

And just like Us, Blue likes to indulge in her favorite sweets on vacation. “Every day we went to get this donut that she liked, so she’s like, I want to see the Eiffel Tower at this time of the day, but really she just wanted a donut,” Knowles joked.

“It’s a little donut with all these sprinkles,” she added of the treat. “It was terrible, tasted like paper or Styrofoam, but she loved it.”

As for the video Knowles posted to Instagram while the two were at a theater in Paris where Blue can be heard calling her grandma out for coyly filming a video prior to the ballet beginning, Knowles said, “Oh [she was] busting me. She’s calling me out.”

She added that it’s “absolutely” Blue’s shtick “to correct at all costs.” In the video, the daughter of Jay-Z and Beyonce can be heard reinforcing the theater rules to Knowles. “You’re not supposed to take videos, grandma,” she says. “You’re not supposed to.”

Knowles also revealed that “it’s the best” being grandma to Bey and Jay’s almost 1-year-old twins. “It’s like double the pleasure,” she gushed. “They are precious, so beautiful.”

Beyonce and Jay-Z — who wed in 2008 — welcomed twins Rumi and Sir in June 2017.
