Pauley Perrette warns tabloids to leave her alone: ‘I WILL have you arrested’

Pauley Perrette had a stern message for the tabloid media on Friday.

“NCIS” alum Perrette, who alluded to multiple physical assaults after exiting the CBS procedural earlier this month, advised the media that there will be consequences for crossing boundaries.

In a tweet published early Friday, Perrette wrote, “Hey tabloids and ‘reporters,’ Leave me alone I WILL have you arrested for trespassing on my property.”

Perrette added, “If I decide to talk, it’s on MY TERMS!”

The actress, who played forensic scientist Abby Sciuto on “NCIS” for 15 seasons, generated headlines with a series of tweets earlier this month implying that assaults factored into her decision to leave the CBS series. Describing “horrifying” abuse, Perrette said she never spoke publicly about the situation to “protect my crew, jobs and so many people.”

The actress said “a very rich, very powerful publicity ‘machine'” kept her from speaking out, including “tabloid articles out there that are telling total lies.” She did not detail the assault accusation any further or identify any abuser.

CBS subsequently issued a statement acknowledging that the actress came to them “with a workplace concern” more than a year earlier, and that they worked with her “to find a resolution.”

“Pauley Perrette had a terrific run on ‘NCIS’ and we are all going to miss her,” said the statement. “Over a year ago, Pauley came to us with a workplace concern. We took the matter seriously and worked with her to find a resolution. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows.”

Perrette tweeted her thanks after the statement was issued, writing, “I want to thank my studio and network CBS They have always been so good to me and always had my back.”
