Royal wedding: Inside Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's star-studded evening reception

Details are still rolling in about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's exclusive evening wedding reception on Saturday night!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wed earlier in the day, and their royal wedding was followed by a luncheon hosted by the Queen that all 600 of their wedding guests were invited to. After a break of several hours, though, Prince Charles hosted a second reception that only about 200 guests received invitations to.

Harry and Meghan memorably sped off to the evening reception in a baby blue 1968 Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero, which retails for around $471,000. The Sun reports that the car, which runs on battery power after a recent conversion, was rented especially for the occasion.

For the more festive party held inside Windsor Castle at Frogmore House, Meghan slinked into her second wedding dress of the day -- a sexier halter-style Stella McCartney look -- while Harry opted for a classic tuxedo.

During the party, which kicked off around 7 p.m, sources told E! News that Prince William and Prince Charles both gave speeches.

"My brother is clearly in love," William reportedly said with a laugh. "Being in love is like a little boy wetting himself. You don't know you are doing it, everyone else knows and you get a warm feeling."

"With all this talk of love, everyone is emotional," he added. "Even the cake is crying!"

ET reports that the speech "left the crowd in stitches."

"William had warned Harry before the wedding that it was payback time," a source told the outlet.

Charles joked that "the budget is out of the window on this one," when talking about the lavish evening party that he hosted for his son.

E! News also confirmed pre-wedding reports about the couple's unexpected choice for their first dance song: Meghan and Harry did indeed go with Whitney Houston's iconic '80s smash, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," which proves that they really wanted to give themselves -- and their guests! -- a chance to let their hair down after a long day.

On the menu were "posh burgers," "candyfloss" for dessert and a cocktail playfully called "When Harry Met Meghan," in reference to iconic romantic comedy "When Harry Met Sally."

In addition to members of the royal family like Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, notable guests like Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra, Idris Elba and Tom Hardy were also there, as was Meghan's wedding dress designer Clare Waight Keller. We shouldn't expect many photos from inside the party, though, as guests were forced to surrender their phones at the door -- the same policy Kate and Will had at their 2011 wedding reception.

That being said, Williams and Chopra, who have both known Meghan for years, showed off their looks on social media before heading to the reception.

At around 11 p.m. the night was capped off with a stunning fireworks display before the party ultimately wrapped up around midnight.
