Taylor Swift stuns in surprise Billboard Music Awards appearance

Surprise, it's Taylor!

Rumors that Taylor Swift was making a surprise appearance at Sunday night's 2018 Billboard Music Awards were confirmed when the "Delicate" singer stepped out on the red carpet 15 minutes before the show began.

Swift, who was hitting her first red carpet in over two years, looked absolutely stunning in her intricate lilac gown with a thigh-high slit, glistening embellishments and matching heels. The star, who was seated between pals Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes in the front row, finished off her look with a unique updo.

Swift narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction while walking the carpet. Her dress' thigh-high slit left little to the imagination, but the singer -- who is a total red carpet pro over a decade into her career -- made sure not to flash too much to the paparazzi.

The "Look What You Made Me Do" singer recently kicked off her Reputation Stadium Tour and just came off a two-night stint at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, where she brought out Mendes, Troye Sivan and longtime pal Selena Gomez to perform with her. Mendes and Charli XCX are her opening acts.
