Ryan Reynolds: My daughter has 'terrible ego' after Taylor Swift song

Updated

Could they have a little diva on their hands? Ryan Reynoldsmay be the star of the highly anticipated Deadpool 2, but even he can’t escape talking about the real MVP — his daughter James, who was featured on a Taylor Swift song last fall.

While promoting the superhero flick during a Tuesday, May 15, interview on Good Morning America, co-host George Stephenopolous turned the conversation to the 3-year-old, who Reynolds shares with wife Blake Lively.

“A little intro there, yeah, um,” the 41-year-old actor said after the track “Gorgeous” began playing with her voice. “That was a voice memo that ended up on a [Taylor Swift] song. It’s pretty amazing. My daughter has a really, really terrible ego problem now after that song.”

“She’s insufferable,” he joked before adding, “I don’t know if she knows she’s in a Taylor Swift song.”

Fans first started speculating that it was the tot’s adorable voice on the Reputation track shortly after it was released in October 2017. A fan account for the 30-year-old Gossip Girl alum fueled the speculation when they tweeted, “It is rumoured that the child’s voice at the start of Taylor’s Swift’s new song, #Gorgeous is Blake and Ryan’s daughter James!”

Swift — who is good pals with the famous couple — confirmed that it was indeed James who can be heard cooing on the song. “Baby intro voice by James Reynolds,” the 28-year-old singer wrote in the album booklet.

Reynolds and Lively tied the knot in a private South Carolina wedding in September 2012. The two are also parents of Ines, 1.

Deadpool 2 is set to hit theaters on Friday, May 18.
