10 of the best-selling celebrity fashion brands that are super successful

When our favorite celebrities launch a clothing line, coming up with fresh designs and appealing to a niche market is no easy feat.  With endless competition in the fashion industry and the struggle of balancing price points, A-list fame doesn't always mean consumer success.

On the bright side, some of our ultimate style inspirations have been able to successfully translate their talents into our wardrobes. At the helm of celebrity-turned-designer triumph is Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen. After a profitable acting career came an even more profitable fashion business. Winning four CFDA's for designers of the year for their ultra-luxury basics label The Row, the twin sisters are also responsible for their more contemporary label, Elizabeth and James.  According to a 2016 WWD report, Elizabeth and James have generated nearly $50 million in wholesale volume.

Jessica Simpson is another one who falls amongst the applaudable achievement of a celebrity namesake label. Her Jessica Simpson Collection evolved into a $1 billion fashion brand back in 2015 -- and has most recently expanded into a kids line available on Zappos.com.

From newcomers such as Ellen DeGenerous and Sarah Jessica Parker, these 10 fashion brands backed up by A-list brains are worth looking out for.
