Scarlett Johansson wears dress from Weinstein’s wife to Met Gala

Scarlett Johansson used her Met Gala dress to welcome Harvey Weinstein’s estranged wife back into the fashion fold Monday – and at least one Weinstein accuser had her back.

The “Avengers” star became the first A-list actress to wear a gown from Georgina Chapman’s Marchesa line for a major red event since scores of women accused Weinstein of being a serial sex predator.

“I don’t believe women should pay for their husband’s misconduct,” accuser Lauren Sivan told the Daily News, responding to Johansson’s sartorial statement.

“She didn’t stay with him, she didn’t defend his actions,” Sivan said of Chapman. “I don’t see any reason why women would punish her.”

Sivan is a former TV news anchor at Long Island 12 who stepped forward last year to say Weinstein cornered her at the New York restaurant Socialista in 2007 and forced her to watch him masturbate.

In the months since two back-to-back exposés appeared in the New York Times and New Yorker magazine, Weinstein has been the subject of more than a hundred misconduct claims.

Ashley Judd, Mira Sorvino, Rose McGowan, Lupita Nyong'o, Annabella Sciorra and Gwyneth Paltrow are among the top actresses who claim Weinstein harassed or assaulted them.

For his part, Weinstein denies any allegations of nonconsensual sex.

In a statement last year, Chapman said she was leaving Weinstein as she voiced support for his alleged victims.

“My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time,” she said in a statement.
