Richard Gere and new wife Alejandra Silva celebrate wedding with star-studded party

Richard Gere and new wife Alejandra Silva continue to celebrate their secret wedding!

The 68-year-old actor secretly wed the Spanish publicist, 35, "weeks and weeks ago" in a low-key civil ceremony, and the couple threw a lavish wedding bash over the weekend at Gere's estate in Pound Ridge, New York, to officially celebrate their union.

Guests at the soirée reportedly included chef Eric Ripert, composer Bette Sussman, actress Saundra Santiago and several Tibetan monks. Gere is a known Buddhist, and Silva reportedly converted to the religion once she became serious with the "Pretty Woman" actor.

The couple has been dating since 2014 and are "so comfortable with one another, have fun together and are looking forward to their future together."

Both Gere and Silva have been married before.

The actor was first married to model Cindy Crawford from 1991 through 1995 before marrying Carey Lowell in 2002. Lowell and Gere share son Homer, 17, and famously split in 2013 and finalized their divorce three years later.

For her part, Silva, a publicist, was previously married to mining executive Govind Friedland, with whom she welcomed her son Albert, 5, in 2012.
