Johnny Depp 'attacked' crew member after 'smoking and drinking all day': Report

Updated

Despite a public reckoning around his behavior off-camera following his split from ex Amber Heard in 2016, Johnny Depp doesn't appear to have changed his ways.

The actor "attacked" a crew member on the set of his latest film, "LAbyrinth," according to a shocking new report in Page Six, after having been "smoking and drinking all day on set" in Downtown Los Angeles.

Though the film centered on famed LAPD detective Russell Poole is being directed by Brad Furman, Depp overtook directing a scene in which two of his friends play a cop and a homeless man alongside him, which "turned into way more than it should have been," a source told the outlet.

When the permit ran out on the street being closed off for filming after "the producers kept asking for the time to be extended," a veteran location manager informed Depp that "this is the last shot." That's when a reportedly intoxicated Depp lost it.

"He was 6 inches away, yelling, 'Who are you? You have no right!'" multiple sources confirmed to Page Six.

When the staffer responded with, "I'm just doing my job," Depp tried to punch him in the ribs and screamed that he'd "give you $100,000 to punch me right now!"

Despite numerous on-set sources recounting the blowup, director Furman denied the gravity of the situation.

"Johnny Depp is a consummate professional, great collaborator and a supporter of other artists," he said in a statement. "He always treats the crew and people around him with the utmost respect. Movies can be stressful, and nonevents often become exaggerated. We all love stories -- there isn't one here."

Depp's alleged aggressive behavior falls in line with ex-wife Heard's allegations that he verbally and physically abused her throughout their relationship. The actor is also in legal trouble with his former bodyguards and, separately, with his former managers.
