Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen totally twin on the red carpet in matching turtlenecks

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are twinning at its finest!

The 31-year-old twins made a rare public appearance Thursday night, stepping out to support young ballet dancers as co-chairs for the Youth America Grand Prix "Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow" gala in New York City.

All eyes were on the former It Takes Two stars, who hit the red carpet in coordinating monochromatic ensembles, consisting of a featherweight turtleneck paired with a pleated maxi skirt. Ashley opted for a head-to-toe neutral look with a beige kerchief neck top from their Fall 2018 collection, The Row, while Mary-Kate stayed muted in navy blue.

This particular look is effortlessly chic, and totally easy to copy! It's one of the simplest outfit formulas for spring that's not only flattering for every body type, but you probably already have similar pieces in your closet to recreate this look. Plus, as the weather is transitioning from cooler to warmer temps, this combination of fabrics is perfect for April and May.

If you're looking to go even more glam, take another fashion cue from the stylish sisters, who accessorized with stunning statement earrings -- Mary-Kate in emerald green and Ashley in silver.

Inside the event, Mary-Kate was joined by her husband, Olivier Sarkozy. The two appeared to be having a blast, chatting with friends who also attended the ballet soirée.
