Jon Gosselin's daughters, Mady and Cara, call him 'insane' for recent allegations

Jon Gosselin is not on speaking terms with his oldest daughters, Mady and Cara.

According to mother Kate Gosselin, her daughters "want someone" for their single mother, who is about to embark on a journey to find love again on TLC's upcoming "Kate Plus Date," set to premiere in the fall.

"They want me to have somebody in my life," Kate told People.

This comes after the girls revealed to People back in August of 2016 that they don't speak to their estranged father, who had fought their mother for custody of them and their six siblings after their 2009 separation. Kate and Jon share twins Mady and Cara, as well as sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Leak and Joel.

After Jon gave a series of interviews talking about his estranged children while focusing on his DJing career, his daughters spoke out against him.

"He makes it seem like we're being kept from him, which is insane," Mady told People. "He should maybe spend some time thinking about why we don't want to see him, and maybe realize that if he ever does want a relationship with us, talking about us on TV is not the way to make that happen."

"He doesn't even know us," Mady went on. "How can he dare to talk about us?"

Jon wished his oldest daughters a happy birthday on Instagram six months ago when they turned 17.

"Happy 17th Birthday Mady and Cara!!!" he wrote. "Love you, Dad."
