Meghan Markle 'studying up' on the Commonwealth & royals as wedding planning Is in home stretch (Exclusive)

Updated

Meghan Markle is studying up on her future royal life.

While planning the wedding of the year, the 36-year-old Suits star also is finding time to brush up on royal knowledge. A source tells ET that Meghan has “binders” with information on the Commonwealth and the royal family.

"She’s studying up. She’s a quick learner,” the source says.

As for planning for her and Prince Harry's wedding, Meghan and her close friend, Jessica Mulroney, are in the home stretch. In fact, the source says, Jessica will be joining Meghan in London soon.

"Jessica is Meghan's right hand," the source shares. "She is her closest confidante and is with Meghan on every step of the wedding process, from picking out the wedding dress to the look and feel of the wedding."

"The vision for the wedding will really be Meghan's and Jessica’s," the source adds. "Meghan is totally hands on. Harry is letting her lead the way."

As ET earlier reported, this past weekend Meghan spent some quality time with her mom, Doria Raglan, jetting back to Los Angeles to share details about her upcoming nuptials. Meghan's mom is also expected to make her way to London in the near future.

For now, Meghan is back in the U.K. attending to her royal duties. She and Harry attended the U.K. Team Trials for the Invictus Games at the University of Bath Sports Training Village in Bath, England, on Friday.
