Jeff Goldblum, 65, opens up about being an older dad

Jeff Goldblumbecame a father for the first time at the age of 62. And he wouldn’t have it any other way. “I feel right on schedule and I love our two boys,” the 65-year-old told Us Weekly at an Isle of Dogs screening in New York City on Wednesday, March 21. “Everything seemed to happen perfectly. I appreciate it wildly.”

But the Jurassic Park actor has a sense of humor about it too, joking that comedian Albert Brooks told him “to look for schools with ramps!”

Goldblum and his wife, Emilie Livingston, 35, are parents of Charlie, 2, and 11-month-old River. The couple, who have 30 years between them, tied the knot in November 2014.

Though the pair have their hands full with two little ones, they make time for romance. “It’s challenging,” he admitted. “But we’re very focused.” Indeed, every night after the children are in bed, he and the contortionist, who he calls “a superhero,” sit down for dinner and catch up with each other. Occasionally they are able to sneak out to a restaurant. “We do OK,” he told Us. “We have nice people who help us and they allow us to go on a sweet date night here and there.”

Goldblum was previously married to his Silverado costar Patricia Gaul from 1980 to 1986, and to his Earth Girls Are Easy costar Geena Davis from 1987 to 1990. Livingston was a member of the Canadian Olympic team for rhythmic gymnastics in the 2000 Sydney games.
