Camila Cabello's fans defend singer after she gets mocked for guitar playing on 'Ellen'
Camila Cabello brought her latest single "Never Be The Same" to The Ellen Degeneres Show on Wednesday (March 21), sporting an electric guitar for the performance. While she looked and sounded incredible, Cabello's guitar playing ended up receiving a little flack -- and Camilizers were not having it.
At the beginning of the song's first chorus, Cabello swung the guitar around from behind her back and began strumming. However, the guitar seemingly isn't heard in the performance at all, and a Twitter user called her out for not actually playing.
I'm trying really hard to figure out why Camila Cabello, who clearly does not play the guitar, is using one as a stage prop to wave her hand wildly in front of in some facsimile of "playing" it, for every performance of "Never Be the Same" I've seen lately.

Although it's unclear whether or not Cabello was actually playing the guitar in this performance, Camilizers were quick to prove the Twitter critic had not done her research. Along with giving Cabello major praise for her live performances, fans provided video proof that she does, indeed, play the guitar.

Six-string skills aside, Cabello penned each track on her debut album Camila, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 following its January 12 release.
