'Idol' singer got his 'real' first kiss after Katy Perry smooch

He kissed a girl — other than Katy Perry.

The "American Idol" contestant who got a smooch from Katy Perry after she learned he'd never kissed a girl says he's since locked lips with another woman — his new girlfriend.

Benjamin Glaze, who began dating his girlfriend Carrie after his "Idol" audition, described their first kiss as "incredibly special."

"Katy Perry was my first kiss, but Carrie was my first kiss in a real way," Glaze told "Inside Edition"in a new interview, during which he was joined by Carrie.

"If you really sat me down and asked me, I would tell you about how our first kiss was and it was just as special as I wanted it to be," he said.

Carrie, meanwhile, said she found it "cool" that Glaze kissed the pop star.

Glaze, 20, was trying out for "Idol" in October when he told Perry and the other judges that he had never kissed a girl because he was waiting to be in his first relationship.

Perry then invited him to kiss her on the cheek, but when she told him to kiss her for a second time, she turned her head and pecked him on the lips.

The memorable TV moment left Glaze feeling uneasy, he admitted after the episode aired this week.

"I was a tad bit uncomfortable," Glaze told The New York Times. "I wanted to save it for my first relationship. I wanted it to be special."

He has since clarified his feelings on the matter in an Instagram post, in which he assured he wasn't complaining about Perry's kiss.

"I do not think I was sexually harassed by Katy Perry and I am thankful for the judges comments and critiques," he wrote. "I was uncomfortable in a sense of how I have never been kissed before and was not expecting it."

Glaze, who sang Nick Jonas' 2014 song "Levels" in his audition, did not earn a bid to Hollywood after his performance.
