Sometimes to get noticed, you gotta do what you gotta do
For Bekah Martinez, a standout contestant from the most recent season of "The Bachelor," landing a coveted spot on the show required a bit of creativity -- and some sexuality! The 23-year-old shared with fans a photo she used in order to get producers' attention during a casting session.
"These are the lengths my cheesy ass really went to for my 'Bachelor' casting photos," Bekah wrote alongside the photo, which shows her topless wearing overalls as she paints "Bekah + Peter" on a canvas.
The photo did effectively help her get cast on the show, even though the man she wanted to compete for, Peter Kraus, wasn't ultimately chosen as the titular bachelor.
Instead, Bekah tried to win the heart of Arie Luyendyk Jr., whose season was dotted with controversy, especially toward the end: Arie infamously proposed to Becca Kufrin and then, weeks later, changed his mind -- on camera -- to instead declare his love for runner-up Lauren Burnham.
After Arie left his then-fiance in the dust, Bekah tweeted that he is "the biggest f--ing tool I've ever seen." She's since called him a "manipulative a--hole."
Bekah also made headlines herself: Early in the season, it was revealed that she was registered as a missing person in California. Her mom was reportedly concerned when she hadn't heard from her in a few days and reported her missing in November 2017.
"MOM. how many times do I have to tell you I don’t get cell service on The Bachelor??" Bekah tweeted after the story broke.
