Cameron Diaz 'done' with acting? Selma Blair claims she's 'retired'

Where has Cameron Diaz been?

The beloved movie star hasn't been in a film since 2014's "Annie" remake, and friend Selma Blair claimed in a recent interview that her absence is due to Diaz being "done with acting."

Speaking with UK news outlet The Metro, Blair explained that during a recent conversation with Diaz about their 2002 movie, "The Sweetest Thing," Diaz told her pal that she's no longer interested in acting.

"I had lunch with Cameron the other day," Blair said. "We were reminiscing about the film. I would have liked to do a sequel , but Cameron's retired from acting. She's like, 'I'm done.'"

"I mean, she doesn't need to make any more films," the actress continued. "She has a pretty great life; I don't know what it would take to bring her back. She's happy."

Indeed, the 45-year-old "There's Something About Mary" star seems incredibly happy with husband Benji Madden, 38, who she wed back in January of 2015. They dated for seven months after being introduced by Nicole Richie, who is married to Benji's brother, Joel, before they tied the knot in an intimate 15-minute ceremony at home.

"We got married in our living room in front of our friends," Cameron told Andy Cohen back in 2016. "Had a little party in our backyard on the tennis court and yeah. Otherwise it would have been something else."

In the rare interview about her relationship, Diaz also opened up about the moment she met her future husband.

"It was one of those things where everyone tells you, 'You just know when you know.' I was like, 'What does that mean?' Oh, I get it. You just know when you know. Like you're my husband," Diaz said. "The first thing I said when I first met my husband was, 'He's hot.' How come I didn't know this before? We had never been in the same circle… You know, nothing matters now that I have my husband. Like, I don't even remember any of that."
